Sledding - February 2013

Trying to play catch up today with all the pictures I have taken since February.  Being nine months pregnant and then having the baby on March 2nd has left little desire or time to go through all the pictures on my SD card in my camera.  For whatever reason I decided that today was a good day to start updating my blog (let me tell you I have only had 3 hours of sleep today - because the little girl decided she didn't want to sleep at all last night).

The snowstorm that we had at the beginning of February actually left some snow on the ground and Samantha has been bugging us to take her sledding the next time it snowed.  So after my baby sprinkle that my Mother and Sister threw for me we took Samantha sledding.

Samantha's making her snow angel

Samantha and her Daddy (I just love this pic of the 2 of them)

The sequence of events of how Samantha and her Dad went sledding...
- they started at top of the hill
- by the middle of the hill they would begin to skid
- by the time they were at the bottom Matt was on his back in the mud
with Samantha laying on top of him
- A very pregnant Mommy is at the top of the hill taking pictures of
the action while holding her breathe praying no one breaks any bones

This sequence was repeated over and over again....

And after each time Samantha would give a thums up and say AGAIN...

On a side note.....Prego Files #7

Oh how I forgot what happens around the 34th week of pregnancy.....

The feet, legs, everything starts to swell.....

Today starts 34 weeks, day 1....half way through work today I noticed that my left foot was starting to swell a little. I didn't pay much attention to it until halfway through my shift when my foot started to throb and feel uncomfortable.  By the time I got home from work I had "cankles" as my sister would call them.  You couldn't tell where my leg ended and ankles began - it was pretty much one big blob....there are really no other words to describe it.

It's now 11:18pm at night and time to finally relax for the day and put my feet up and rest them until it starts all over again tomorrow.

On another side note....the hubby felt some body part of the babies while feeling the baby move the other day and his only comment as he was walking away from me was "that was weird".... Got to love the Daddy to be.

Maternity Photoshoot....Of Me - Prego Files No. 6

First off I need to give huge Kudos to my mother who came out with us yesterday and took some maternity photos of myself and my family.  I had particular shots in mind that I wanted and I know it was a hard task for my mother to take on.  Being the one behind the camera usually I had it set how I wanted the pictures to be and it was difficult to try and direct the photo shoot and set the shot up the way I wanted it and not be overly particular or a pain in the butt.

I have been trying to find a weekend when the weather was nice and I had off of work to have the pictures taken.  I chose Sunday 1/13 because I had off work and the weather people were saying it was going to be sunny and in the 60's.  I thought that would be perfect - we wouldn't have to wear coats and we could get some of the shots that I wanted.  Well the weather people were wrong - we woke up to foggy weather and as the day went on the fog didn't clear up.  I decided to go and have the pictures taken anyway - if they didn't turn out good we could chalk it up to a test run and try and do them again on another day.  So we headed up to the lake in Warren for the photos.

On the way up to Warren it started to sprinkle....by the time we got up to the lake it was sprinkling on and off.  It figured.....

The proud big sister!

 Giving her sister raspberries

After everything is said and done I am happy with the way the pictures came out....
Could we have had a nicer weather day....SURE....but it worked out just fine.

Project Life 2013

Two years ago my mother introduced me or convinced me to try and do Project Life...
Project Life, for those of you who don't know what it is, is a project that you work on throughout the year documenting your everyday life and scrapbooking them.  The concept is to take a picture everyday and scrapbook it....instead of just documenting major events such as birthdays, holidays, etc.  Ever since starting it I have fallen in love with the concept.  It is so much fun for not only me but also my husband and daughter to go back through previous years albums and remember the fun times we had on a daily basis - whether it was me documenting the dog making a mess while we were out or us having an ice cream party at night (just the 3 of us).  It is a fun way to remember the everyday things that can get overlooked.

Here is the start of my 2013 album....

It's a work in progress....I need to print out a picture of myself and jazz it up a little.

I also need to finish up my 2012 album...I am so far behind on that and can't seem to get motivated to complete it.  I will one of these days......

Stay tuned for more pages from my 2013 Project Life Album.

Larger Than Life - Prego Files No. 5

I feel Larger than life these days....
Every time I look down I feel like my belly just keeps growing....

I know 5 years is a long time but I do not remember ever experiencing this with Samantha.  I felt like with her I woke up one day in my 7th month of pregnancy and had a huge belly that didn't change until I delivered.  With this pregnancy I feel like everyday I am getting larger and larger...even the maternity clothes I have are starting to not feel comfortable.  Too bad I can't wear sweatpants everyday...it would make this Momma very happy.

Because of this big belly sleeping in a comfortable position has also become non-existent and I end of tossing and turning most of the night.  The 5 year old also laughs at me because there are times that I need help getting up from the couch or getting up off the floor - the little things in life that you take for granted.

54 days to go (give or take)....I can do this.

Meet Victoria....

Introducing Victoria....

I had the pleasure of photographing my girlfriend's newest addition to her family this week.  This little peanut was so adorable and tinyI just couldn't get enough of her.

Here is the proud big sister Madelyn holding her baby sister.

Here is Madelyn talking to her sister...she was way too cute.

--------------------------------------------------------

After photographing and visiting with my girlfriend for the morning I decided that I no longer wanted to rush the rest of my pregnancy.  My little cherub can cook alittle bit longer - I'm not sure that I am mentally prepared yet for a newborn.
